About us:
An abbreviated history of rinse bath & body...
It all started in 2002 when a girl (that would be me - Heather) couldn’t knit. I was working on the Supercross circuit (yes, dirt bikes) & traveling across the country pretty much every week. I was in desperate need of a creative outlet... a hobby.
I taught myself to knit, but couldn’t knit anything other than squares & rectangles (and I wasn't very good at either). Enter soapmaking. I took a class with my ever so crafty mom (she can do just about anything that has anything to do with crafting). We stood side by side melting, mixing & stirring our soap. The next day when we uncovered our concoctions, my soap was perfect (ironically enough, my mom’s soap didn’t turn out) - I was hooked.
When you make soap, you make pounds at a time. So to justify to my husband why I had to make more soap I gave it away to anyone who would take it. As I was formulating recipes & experimenting with ingredients, I was perfecting my products. The people who I once had to beg to take products off my hands started making requests & insisting on paying for them. After fielding so many requests, we looked at each other & thought we might just have something here.
We founded Rinse Bath & Body Co. in 2003 & our operation quickly developed into a popular brand of natural bath & body products being featured in over 1100 stores & spas across the country. We have one retail store of our own in Monroe, Georgia (where you can actually see us making the products).
Rinse is still very much a family business (now located in Monroe, Georgia). All of our products are still produced in small batches (to ensure the quality and freshness) using the best & most natural ingredients. You may wonder how we get it all done... with the help from an amazing team & lots of moms, of course.
Thanks for listening to my story & I hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy making them for you!
Oh, & thank goodness I couldn’t knit!
